Pregnancy (& Postpartum) Exercises & Stretches
The first 2 PDFs have exercises that can help with pregnancy aches and pains as well as prepping for birth. The stretches and movements can help with breathing and balance as your baby continues to grow as well. (Even though they are labeled as pregnancy exercises, these exercises are helpful to start back with postpartum to help reconnect with deeper stability muscles and your core as you are healing and progressing back into other exercises and activities.) Often it is good to practice in quadruped (hands and knees) or sitting on a Swiss ball or pregnancy ball prior to labor. (It’s the same thing, just goes by different names.) This way you can get comfortable and confident in these positions to give more options for positions to use during labor. The first video and PDF will focus on exercises on a pregnancy ball or a Swiss ball. The second video and PDF will focus on exercises on all fours and seated.
The third PDF and video focus on stretches that can help ease the pains of a growing uterus. It does take a partner to help, but a lot of women have said these help relieve pain and discomfort as baby grows.
You can also find these available for download as separates. See “Pregnancy (& Postpartum) Swiss Ball Exercises,” “Pregnancy Exercises Quadruped & Seated,” and “Stretches for a Growing Uterus” to buy them individually.
